Laugh Out Loud (LOL) is CBC Radio’s hit stand-up comedy show hosted by Ali Hassan (guest host on Q and host of Canada Reads). This live recording show will present a great line up featuring the best of Canadian comedy including: John Sheehan, Luba Magnus, Justin Shaw, Allyson Smith, David Pryde and Clare Belford. The goal of this show is to make more Canadians laugh out loud whenever they want — live, on radio, on-line, and on CBC podcast service.

John Sheehan

John began stand-up in January of 2007. He has performed at comedy festivals in Halifax, Winnipeg, and Moncton, and has been featured on CBC Radio’s The Debaters, as well as a Just for Laughs variety album.
John has headlined Yuk Yuks clubs in St. John’s, Halifax, Ottawa, Calgary, and Saint John.
In December of 2017, he had his first of three tours with Team Canada, entertaining Canadian Forces members serving abroad. Stops included Ukraine, France, Latvia, Greece, and Kuwait.
Aside from his comedy career, John has performed lead roles in three professional Shakespeare productions since 2015, and has several film and television credits to his name.
