Laugh Out Loud (LOL) is CBC Radio’s hit stand-up comedy show hosted by Ali Hassan (guest host on Q and host of Canada Reads). This live recording show will present a great line up featuring the best of Canadian comedy including: John Sheehan, Luba Magnus, Justin Shaw, Allyson Smith, David Pryde and Clare Belford. The goal of this show is to make more Canadians laugh out loud whenever they want — live, on radio, on-line, and on CBC podcast service.

Justin Shaw is a comedian and storyteller originally from Cardigan, Prince Edward Island (and if you’re also from Cardigan, his dad probably knows your dad.) Fusing comedy and storytelling, Shaw tours solo shows across Canada, including in PEI-inspired story The 70 Mile Yard Sale (2024 Charlottetown Festival). Development of his solo work was documented on his TV series Tales From Island Boy on Bell FibeTV1. He has appeared on Just For Laughs Toronto, Mike Birbiglia’s Working It Out comedy show, has opened for Fortune Feimster, and tours regularly with Yuk Yuks across Ontario. He is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada (Acting 2017) and proud alumnus of Vagabond Productions from the University of Prince Edward Island. When not performing standup, Shaw also crafts comedy plays for Feast Dinner Theatres. Shaw’s debut comedy album Human Money showcases his down-home yet outrageous sense of humour, and can be heard on Just For Laughs Canada on Sirius XM.
